Koji Yamaguchi

He is called "the young lion of the shamisen". Koji started playing the shamisen, a traditional Japanese instrument that has three strings, as a child. With his extraordinary interpretation of Japanese folk songs and his virtuoso playing of the Tsugaru shamisen and the Okinawa shamisen, he won many prizes in national competitions. With his virtuoso playing of the shamisen, his original performances and his extraordinary skills, he regularly captivates his audience.
