Shuji Yamagiri is the leader of the rock duo KAO=S consisting of him and Kaori Kawabuchi.
He is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and art director.

As a vocalist, he possesses a wide vocal range and a great variety of tonal expression. His main instrument is the acoustic guitar.
With KAO=S and various Japanese entertainment ensembles, he has performed in many countries, including the SXSW Festival and a U.S. tour in2012 and2013. To us, Shuji and Kaori are dear long-time friends, thanks to their many appearances at Main Matsuri, and Brotfabrik, just before the COVID-19 lockdown.

For Main Matsuri, he composed the title track "YU" and served as art director of the main stage program.
