Taichi is from Oita City, Oita Prefecture. He started playing the Tsugaru shamisen at the age of nine. In 2006, he studied Tsugaru Shamisen at the Fukui ryu (School of Art).
In 2012, he participated in the Tsugaru Shamisen Competition National Tournament for the first time and achieved the feat of winning the general division.
He has engaged in collaborations with musicians of other genres, including gekiban (soundtracks).
